The Joint Use Mutual Partnership (JUMP) is a consortium led by Concert Infrastructure, Bird-Wright Joint Venture, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with SaskBuilds. The team is dedicated to working with the province to deliver the 18 schools on 9 sites in Saskatchewan by 2017. JUMP has been selected as the P3 team that will deliver new elementary schools to Saskatoon and area by September 2017. Six new joint-use schools will be located in Saskatoon in the Evergreen, Hampton Village, Rosewood and Stonebridge neighbourhoods, as well as the communities of Martensville and Warman. Together with three new joint-use schools coming to Regina, this represents the largest new schools project in Saskatchewan’s history.
The schools will accommodate almost 8,000 students in the Saskatoon region from pre-kindergarten to Grade 8 at full design capacity. Each joint-use school will also contain a 90-space child care centre as well as community space. Joint-use schools are co-located so that they share a roof and spaces such as gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms, community resource centres, and child care spaces.
