OPEN POSITIONS:
HVAC SYSTEM AIR AND WATER TAB TECHNICIAN
We are currently looking for an HVAC System Air and Water TAB Technician to join our team! Joining our HVAC system testing, adjust and balancing (TAB) team, you will work hand in hand with Project Leadership to ensure clients building systems operate as intended. Key responsibilities include:
· Review mechanical drawings and specifications for TAB
requirements.
· Perform air and water balancing on applicable systems.
· Prepare TAB reports and correspondence to project team.
· Perform initial system measurements assessing performance.
· Support the building commissioning team as required.
ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in MS Office and Excel, OS based computers.
· Extremely Organized.
· Knowledge of ventilation, hydronic and plumbing systems.
· Self-motivated – ability to work on your own with minimal
supervision.

SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT
We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a Sustainability Consultant, you will take a hands-on role in guiding Green Building Projects. This position will be responsible for providing sustainability assessment of a wide range of project opportunities that may relate to water, energy, and carbon analysis; material health research; and trends on occupant health and well-being. Key responsibilities include:
· LEED and Sustainability project tracking, product investigations
and validation of product compliance with sub-trades, vendors,
consultants and clients
· Liaising with project team
· Coordination of tasks and deliverables such as Progress Reports,
LEED scorecards, approval forms, etc.
· Green building research such as the investigation of technologies
and building products
· Working on coordination of Building Life Cycle Assessments with
team members
· Support project managers on a variety of projects including LEED
and WELL
ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· A minimum of three years direct experience working on LEED
projects.
· WELL and Fitwel credential preferred.
· Familiarity with the US and Canadian LEED Green Building Rating
Systems, WELL Building Standard, and other sustainable design
rating systems.
· University degree or college diploma (e.g., engineering,
architecture, building science, etc.) and LEED AP/Green Associate.
· Proficient in MS Office.
· Familiarity with a range of software tools and programs such as
LCA tools.
· Knowledgeable about Building Life Cycle Assessment and Athena
Impact Estimator.
· Extremely organized, with exceptional time management skills,
and ability to multi-task.
· Self motivated – ability to work independently with minimal
supervision.
· Attention to detail.
· Quick-witted.
· Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude in
dealing with clients.
· Must currently be living in or around the Lower Mainland.
COMMISSIONING COORDINATOR
As a commissioning coordinator, you will work in the commissioning service group and report directly to the commissioning manager. This position may involve frequent site work throughout Metro Vancouver, and we anticipate the candidate will work remotely for periods of time. We anticipate the candidate’s duties to be:
· Develop commissioning documents including the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Report, and Systems Manual.
· Perform submittal reviews against OPR and Basis of Design and conduct construction document design reviews.
· Complete field reviews independently to verify installation and start-up checks.
· Draft functional performance test procedures and conduct on-site functional performance testing of HVAC&R, domestic hot water, lighting & lighting controls, building automation systems, and on-site renewable energy systems.
· Review building automation system trend logs to validate ongoing performance.
· Draft final commissioning reports and systems manual reports.
· Perform re/retro-commissioning investigations and energy audits including site visits to obtain operating data on equipment, conduct targeted functional performance testing, and review building automation system trend-logs and programming to identify faults and energy saving opportunities.
· Identify energy saving opportunities and perform energy calculations and cost/benefit analyses of energy saving opportunities.
· Implement ongoing commissioning plans, complete reviews of energy data, maintenance logs, and building automation system trend-logs.
· Provide assistance to Cx team, when required.
Testing Adjusting and Balancing (TAB)
· Review mechanical drawings and specifications to understand TAB requirements.
· Perform air and water balancing on applicable systems in accordance with project requirements.
· Prepare TAB reports and corresponding with project team.
ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· Direct experience performing commissioning or TAB work.
· University degree or technical diploma in engineering, engineering technology, or HVAC systems.
· Knowledge of ventilation and hydronic systems.
· Hands-on technical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues with building systems.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with contractors, consultants, project managers, and owners.
· Familiar with commissioning processes as outlined by ASHRAE, LEED, BCxA, NEBB, and others.
· Familiar with LEED and other green building rating systems.
· Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
· Extremely Organized.
· Self-motivated – ability to work on your own with minimal supervision.
· Attention to detail.
· Professional attitude in dealing with colleagues and clients.
· Comfortable working in mechanical rooms and using ladders.
· Sufficient resources, such as stable internet connection, to facilitate working from home when required.
