Royal Inland Hospital Clinical Services Building

The new Clinical Service Building will provide space for several outpatient services, the UBC medical school program, and a new lecture theatre as well as  improved vehicle and pedestrian access to the hospital. Kane is serving as the project’s Commissioning Authority, Measurement & Verification lead, as well as the LEED Project Manager.

As the Commissioning Authority, Kane will provide reviews of designs, specifications, and shop drawings. Site visits will be completed during construction to complete quality assurance checks on equipment installations and start-ups. Towards the end of construction, we will direct and witness functional performance testing on the building’s energy consuming systems; our experience and expertise in building controls will add tremendous value at this phase. We will also produce all commissioning documentation as required by the CAGBC for the LEED submittal.
